Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Manager - HR Product Analytics to join the athenahealth People Analytics team in India (remote based role). This position will own and scale the HR data model and reporting products that support workforce and people-related decision-making across the organization. The role is responsible for driving strategy, governance, and delivery of People Analytics data models, reporting roadmaps, and tool/vendor integrations to ensure accurate, scalable, and actionable workforce insights. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in analytics product management, data governance, reporting platforms, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
About the Team: The HR Analytics team at athenahealth supports strategic and operational workforce decisions across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, HR Business Partners, and frontline managers. The team delivers actionable insights through workforce analytics, reporting products, and scalable data solutions. This collaborative five-member team spans both the US and India and works closely with People Analytics, Data Management Office (DMO), data engineering, HR systems, and IT teams to improve reporting capabilities, data integrity, and workforce intelligence.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Own and maintain the HR data model, including validated metrics, documentation, and enterprise data initiative participation
Define and execute the People Analytics data model and reporting strategy in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
Partner with the Data Management Office (DMO) and data engineering teams to align Snowflake architecture, data lineage, transformation logic, and access controls
Develop and manage the reporting and visualization roadmap across Workday, Power BI, and related reporting tools
Audit, consolidate, and optimize existing reports and dashboards while defining reporting tiers and reducing overlaps
Collaborate with analytics, HR Product Group, IT, and business stakeholders to define integration requirements and deliver scalable reporting solutions
Translate data engineering and production pipeline considerations into business and product requirements
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for data dictionary standards and DMO-related documentation
Support stakeholder communications, reporting launches, and change management initiatives
Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual reporting efforts
Participate in vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept initiatives, and related discussions
Mentor and coach team members on data modeling, visualization design, documentation standards, and analytics product thinking
Represent People Analytics in cross-functional initiatives impacting workforce data and reporting
Define and monitor adoption metrics, success KPIs, and self-service reporting capabilities
Expected Education & Experience:
8-14 years of relevant experience in analytics product management, people analytics, data management, or related fields
Strong experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Workday reporting
Proficiency with data infrastructure concepts including Snowflake, SQL, ETL pipelines, and data modeling
Working knowledge of data engineering principles, including ingestion patterns, transformation logic, scheduling, and pipeline productionization
Experience developing data dictionaries, governance standards, and partnering with Data Management Office (DMO) functions
Proven experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and cross-functional delivery initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, HR Analytics, or related field advanced degree preferred but not required
