Role Overview

Unilight Insurance Brokers is looking for an experienced professional to manage the Employee Benefits Placement function within the broking vertical. The role involves working closely with insurers and internal teams to structure and place employee benefit insurance programs for corporate clients. The candidate will be responsible for negotiating competitive terms with insurers, ensuring timely renewals, and delivering optimal insurance solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle placement of Employee Benefits policies including Group Mediclaim (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), and Group Term Life (GTL) for corporate clients.
  • Liaise with multiple insurance companies to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, coverage, and policy terms.
  • Prepare and circulate RFQs to insurers and evaluate responses to provide the most competitive solutions to clients.
  • Work closely with sales and client servicing teams to understand client requirements and structure appropriate insurance programs.
  • Prepare insurer comparisons, coverage analysis, and placement notes for corporate clients.
  • Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and placement documentation in coordination with insurers and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with underwriters and insurance companies.
  • Track market trends, product developments, and insurer appetite in the employee benefits segment.
  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal broking processes.
  • Support in designing cost-effective and value-driven employee benefit programs for corporate clients.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 89 years of experience in Employee Benefits placement within an Insurance Broking firm.
  • Strong experience in handling corporate group health and employee benefit policies.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with insurers and managing large corporate accounts.

Key Skills

  • Strong insurer relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of GMC, GTL, GPA, and employee benefit program structuring.
  • Ability to manage multiple placements and renewals simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline (Insurance / Finance / Business preferred).
  • Professional qualifications such as III / AIII / insurance certifications will be an added advantage.
