Job Description

The Senior Manager, Global Logistics Operations is responsible for Global Logistics Operations within Global Supply for Pulp, Energy & Circularity, Packaging and Tissue. Closely collaborates with Procurement, Production and Business Areas (BAs) to ensure efficient and seamless material flow and logistics operations, including trade compliance. Ensure parts, consumables and project material availability and service level through optimized Logistic planning and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support logistics operations globally for Parts and Projects to ensure efficient distribution of products, minimizing costs through cost-competitive transportation and maximizing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, BU, production, procurement, project management to optimize service level of logistics centers and warehouses.
  • Manage material planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and processes.
  • Develop the logistics setup from cost, quality, environment, efficiency, and customer orientation perspectives.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, making data-driven decisions.
  • Define and continuously improve logistics, forwarding and trade compliance processes and policies.
  • Develop high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a member of Global Parts & Project Logistics leadership team

Qualifications

Experience & education:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics and material management practices with extensive experience of leadership roles, preferably in the context of global industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in leading seamless on-time logistics delivery and cost-efficient logistics operation.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Strategic ability to build globally competitive, resilient and sustainable logistics operations.
  • Ability to develop a high-performing team, effectively collaborating with BAs, production units, material management and procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic acumen, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions for drive cost-efficient logistics activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including extensive knowledge in managing large teams with geographically and culturally diverse setup.
