Role Description
You will play a pivotal role in fuelling our mission to create regenerative, equitable systems in agriculture and beyond. Leading our global fundraising efforts, you'll build strategic partnerships with donors, institutions and other partners across sectorsmobilizing resources that support innovative solutions towards farmer livelihood upliftment in food, fibre, medicinal plants, and eco-credits. With a deep belief in impact and sustainability, you'll craft funding strategies that support growth and empower communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Execution:
- Identify, research, and evaluate new funding opportunities.
- Develop fundraising plans with clear targets for short-term and long-term grant funding.
Donor Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key donors, foundations, CSR teams.
- Manage donor stewardship, reporting, and retention strategies.
- Create funder-specific decks, proposals, and pitch materials.
Proposal Development & Grant Management:
- Lead the writing, review, and submission of grant proposals and concept notes.
- Coordinate with internal teams for budgeting, impact metrics, and technical content.
- Ensure timely compliance with donor reporting, milestones, and audits.
Partnerships & Collaborations:
- Forge strategic partnerships with aligned organizations, consortia, accelerators, and incubators.
- Represent the organization at relevant conferences, forums, and networks to build visibility and partnership opportunities.
Internal Capacity Building:
- Train and support regional and program teams in fundraising practices, donor communication, and reporting.
- Develop internal systems for pipeline tracking, grant calendars, and knowledge management.
Research, Innovation & Learning:
- Monitor trends in donor priorities, social finance, ESG, and sustainability funding.
- Collaborate with research and innovation units to align projects with funder interests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Social Work, Communications, or related field. Masters in these field would be preferred
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, or social finance.
- Strong understanding of sustainability, agriculture, climate change, and ESG trends.
- Proven track record in securing institutional and corporate funding.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Strong proposal writing and presentation skills
