Role Purpose
We are hiring for the role of SeniorManager. This is an Team Lead role reporting into the Financial Operations Team.
In your role, you'll be instrumental in advancing our mission by Customer First initiative; is to empower merchants to provide a seamless and frictionless payment experience to their customers.
The responsibilities we entrust you with
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the department, aligning them with overall business objectives.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate team to set performance standards.
- Must have knowledge around PAPG/RBI Compliances.
- Should have experience of working in payment gateway industry.
- Manage and supervise the Reconciliation and settlements related activities, to ensure an effective and efficient operating model is maintained.
- To make sure all payments and transactions within pre-set standardized turnaround times and ensure SLA are complied with.
- Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and develop and implement plans to capitalize on those opportunities and measure and monitor success and impacts
- strong technical and analytical skills and a track record of success working in a team-based environment
- Ensure that the operational risk is effectively managed and addressed in all aspects of the payments and settlement function.
- Lead projects related to payments and reconciliation, ensure their timely completion, achievement of objectives and cost efficiency. Ensure the change-over to new systems and processes is smooth and error-free.
- Ensure that any audit points have been addressed and cleared in a reasonable time.
- Prepare regular MI and analysis for senior management for effective monitoring and control.
What matters in this role
Relevant work experience: Preferably from International Payment Gateways, Fintech, Acquiring settlement and Banks in merchant's settlement and reconciliation experience.
Years of work experience: Minimum of 5 years of banking experience and proven leader with predominant experience of merchant's settlement and reconciliation of payment Gateways transactions, refunds, cash management and nostro reconciliation, etc.
Qualification: Minimum of graduation from a recognized University, Preferred choice will be from the accounting background (B.COM)
