We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to lead global quality deviation management programs across Front-End manufacturing sites and central organizations. This leader will drive strategy, governance, execution discipline, digital transformation, and stakeholder alignment to reduce quality events, improve deviation management effectiveness, and support Micron's quality transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Global Deviation Management Governance
Define, govern, and align worldwide FE Process Quality Engineering deviation management strategy, operating mechanisms, metrics, and business processes.
Drive adoption of best-known methods across global manufacturing sites to strengthen deviation detection, containment, disposition, closure quality, and recurrence prevention.
Lead global stakeholders in benchmarking performance, identifying gaps, setting improvement targets, and tracking progress against quality and business objectives.
Govern deviation-related identifier tagging, reporting discipline, and business process alignment to improve data consistency, transparency, and decision quality.
Facilitate workshops, quality forums, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms to promote collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement across sites.
Drive Global Quality Event Reduction Programs
Lead global programs to reduce non-conformance die and wafers, including excursion, inline deviation, scrap, and other quality event categories across Front-End manufacturing.
Partner with site teams and central organizations to establish targets, leading indicators, execution plans, and governance routines that deliver measurable improvement.
Build strong partnerships with Process Integration, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and Quality teams to identify risks and accelerate resolution.
Communicate program priorities, expectations, progress, risks, and decisions clearly to team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Oversee Yield Deviation and Quality Risk Management
Lead global efforts to reduce process variation, yield deviation, and quality risk across Micron fabs while balancing wafer output, customer requirements, and cost of non-conformance.
Develop and deploy strategies, systems, and governance models that improve quality event prevention, problem solving effectiveness, and sustainable corrective action.
Drive alignment of best-known methods for problem solving in scrap management, deviation closure, and quality risk reduction across manufacturing sites.
Partner with Corporate Quality Management Systems, Quality Reliability Assurance, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and other functions to strengthen quality culture and execution discipline.
Enable Digital and AI Transformation for Quality Management
Define and track key performance indicators that provide actionable insights for Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
Develop advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled strategies to improve speed of detection, sourcing, analysis, decision making, and solution deployment.
Lead the team in applying digital tools and predictive analytics to identify quality risks, improve productivity, and reduce Front-End cost of non-conformance.
Translate data insights into practical programs, governance actions, and scalable solutions that improve global quality performance.
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and career development for a globally connected technical team.
Build organizational capability in deviation management, quality systems, data analytics, stakeholder influence, and structured problem solving.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture that promotes accountability, innovation, learning, and disciplined execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
Extensive experience in quality engineering, process engineering, manufacturing, deviation management, yield improvement, or related semiconductor disciplines.
Proven success leading strategic quality, operational improvement, or transformation programs in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams, including performance management, mentoring, talent development, and succession planning.
Strong expertise in structured problem solving, root cause analysis, risk assessment, statistical thinking, and data-driven decision making.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global stakeholders, align priorities across matrixed organizations, and drive execution through ambiguity.
Experience using advanced analytics, automation, AI, or digital solutions to improve quality, productivity, reliability, and business performance.
Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing fundamentals, including deviation management, SPC, process capability, quality systems, reliability systems, and process or device fundamentals.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills, with the resilience and customer focus required to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
