The Role

This is a quota-carrying enterprise sales role. You will own revenue for a set of India's largest Banks, NBFCs, and Insurance companies — sourcing, running, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals in one of the most consequential technology categories in BFSI today: agentic AI.You will build and manage your own pipeline, run the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract, and be the person your client trusts to get the deal — and the outcome — right. The domain knowledge (process transformation, agentic AI) is what makes you credible in the room; closing and growing the account is the job.

You will carry a quota. You'll hit it by combining sharp commercial instincts with genuine domain credibility — not by relying on one or the other.

What You Will Do

1. Pipeline & Revenue Ownership

  • Build and Own Your Pipeline: This is your revenue and you will drive it by self-sourcing a meaningful share of your pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and relationship-building across target BFSI accounts
  • Run the Full Sales Cycle: Manage deals end-to-end — qualification, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close

2. Deal Structuring & Negotiation

  • Structure Competitive Deals: Build commercial proposals featuring platform fees, outcome-linked components, and phased expansion triggers, tailored to what will actually get signed.
  • Navigate the Buying Committee: Manage stakeholders across Business, IT, Risk, Legal, and Finance — mapping influence, handling objections, and building consensus to keep the deal on track.

3. ROI & Commercial Case-Building

  • Build the Business Case: Develop ROI models grounded in the client's real data to justify the deal commercially, presenting to CFOs, CIOs, and Business Heads with the confidence to defend the numbers under scrutiny.
  • Use Domain Credibility to Sell: Run floor-level discovery with client teams to surface real operational problems — using what you find to sharpen the pitch and de-risk the deal, not as a standalone consulting exercise.

4. Account Growth & NRR

  • Own Renewal and Expansion: Track consumption and adoption post-sale to identify expansion opportunities, turning delivered value into upsell conversations and protecting Net Revenue Retention.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally to Protect the Deal: Work with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure what was sold gets delivered — your commercial credibility on the account depends on it.

5. AI & Domain Fluency in Service of the Deal

  • Speak the Client's Language: Hold your own in conversations on agent orchestration, LLM trade-offs, and BFSI regulatory constraints (RBI AI governance, DPDP) — enough to keep a technical buyer engaged, looping in Solutions Engineering for the deepest architecture questions.
  • Stay Commercially Sharp on AI Trends: Track how agentic AI adoption is playing out across BFSI peers, using it as a competitive edge in positioning and objection handling, not as a research exercise.

What You Will Bring

Experience & Fluency

  • Enterprise Sales Track Record: 7–11 years in enterprise sales, with 3–5+ years selling into BFSI, and a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Established BFSI Relationships: Existing relationships across Indian banks, NBFCs, or insurers that translate into real pipeline — not just names on a contact list.
  • Working AI & Domain Fluency: Enough grasp of retail lending, collections, or insurance ops — and enough comfort with agent orchestration, LLMs, and APIs — to hold a credible conversation and close the deal, with technical depth building over time.
  • Commercial Financial Acumen: Can build and defend a client ROI model independently; working awareness of RBI AI governance and DPDP compliance sufficient to keep a deal from stalling on regulatory objections.

Mindset & Core Traits

  • Hunter Instinct: Self-sources pipeline rather than waiting for it; treats quota as a personal commitment, not a target handed down.
  • Commercially Curious: Genuinely interested in agentic AI because it's reshaping how they sell — not studying it for its own sake, but because domain depth wins deals.
  • Diplomatically Direct: Comfortable telling a client their process is the real bottleneck, backed by data — because a credible challenge closes deals faster than a comfortable pitch.
