Adani Power Limited (APL): Adani Power Limited (APL), a part of the diversified Adani Group, is the largest private thermal power producer in India. Job Purpose: This position leads the engineering efforts for the BTG electrical systems, encompassing switch yards, transformers, and distribution systems, ensuring precise design, execution, and optimization for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

Team Lead Engineering Electrical - BTG

System Conceptualization And Design

Lead the conceptualization of electrical systems within the BTG area, including HT and LT switchgear, transformers, and bus ducts.

Review and refine design layouts, schemes, and BoQs, ensuring accurate sizing and compliance with system capacity requirements.

Tender And Vendor Management

Develop technical specifications for tenders and coordinate with TC for tender preparation and submission.

Evaluate vendor offers and bids through technical discussions, providing insights and addressing queries. Conduct physical evaluations of new vendors and prepare detailed reports.

Project Coordination And Execution

Coordinate with O&M teams for brownfield projects, ensuring seamless integration of expansion projects and critical inputs.

For greenfield projects, collaborate with BD and other departments, providing essential technical inputs and information.

Review cost estimations and budgets prepared by the PMAG team, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines and project constraints.

Oversee the review of detailed engineering designs based on vendor submissions during the execution phase.

Provide engineering inputs and address queries from the site execution team to ensure effective project implementation.

Support O&M teams post-commissioning by addressing any technical queries and conducting feasibility studies and RCA for any issues.

Drive value engineering initiatives to enhance system performance and cost-effectiveness, including retrofitting and augmentation efforts.

Participate in site visits and assessments for M&A opportunities, evaluating existing facilities and preparing insightful reports.

Project Scheduling And Compliance

Schedule engineering activities, create detailed engineering plans, and maintain adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Review equipment sizing according to design standards and monitor LD parameters like auxiliary power consumption and emission controls.

Ensure adherence to SOPs, industry standards, and design codes across all engineering activities.

Maintain knowledge of design standards, codes, and use of engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and MS Office.

Team Management

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging team members to stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.

Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

Participate in recruitment processes, succession planning, employee engagement, and retention efforts.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

9+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and management of electrical systems for boiler, turbine, and generator (BTG) units.

Preferred Industry

Experience in thermal power plants or related sectors, with a focus on electrical engineering for BTG systems.
