Job Purpose
- Lead donor relationship management and resource mobilisation efforts to ensure sustainable funding for THF programs.
- Strengthen long-term partnerships with institutional, corporate, and individual donors while ensuring compliance, transparency, and high-quality reporting.
- Support program teams in designing donor-aligned initiatives and proposals that demonstrate impact, scalability, and alignment with THF's mission.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Relationship Management
- Develop and implement strategies for donor engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional, corporate, and individual donors.
- Ensure timely donor communication, acknowledgements, appreciation letters, and customized updates.
- Coordinate donor visits and field immersion programs to showcase program impact.
- Work with program, finance, and MEL teams to deliver timely reports, utilization certificates, and MoUs.
Fundraising and Strategic Planning
- Support program teams in developing donor-specific proposals and renewal strategies.
- Identify opportunities for donor upgrades, cross-program funding, and long-term partnerships.
- Align donor strategies with THF's overall partnership and growth objectives.
- Coordinate internally to ensure proposal, reporting, and budget alignment with donor priorities.
Resource Development
- Identify and research potential funding sources including CSR, institutions, HNIs, and grant agencies.
- Develop and implement annual fundraising plans and targets.
- Prepare concept notes, grant proposals, presentations, and pitch documents.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor events, and digital initiatives to expand the donor base.
Data and Reporting Management
- Track fundraising performance, donation trends, and donor metrics through MIS reports.
- Develop and maintain a structured CRM and donor database with thematic and geographic classification.
- Ensure accurate documentation of donor commitments, receipts, and correspondence.
- Support proposal and budget development with data-driven insights.
Compliance and Due Diligence
- Ensure adherence to FCRA, CSR regulations, audit requirements, and internal policies.
- Maintain transparency, confidentiality, and accuracy in donor reporting and fund utilization.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly fundraising performance reports to management.
Team Management and Program Design
- Work with program teams to co-create innovative, donor-aligned initiatives.
- Support state and regional teams in developing partnerships with corporate and institutional donors.
- Review proposals and budgets for quality, compliance, and donor alignment before submission.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals with clear objectives and measurable impact.
Communication and Impact Reporting
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop donor-specific impact reports, newsletters, and success stories.
- Support creation of fundraising collaterals and outreach materials highlighting outcomes and impact.
- Represent THF in donor meetings, CSR reviews, and external forums.
- Leverage digital platforms and social media to enhance visibility and fundraising efforts.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of experience in donor management, fundraising, and resource mobilisation.
- Prior experience in the NGO or development sector is preferred.
