About the Team

Enterprise Strategic Sourcing (ESS) is responsible for managing all Indirect categories within Lowe's collaborating with all business functions, legal, IT and Finance. The Analytics, Market Intel and Process (AMP) team within ESS is responsible for all indirect spend data (>$10B), all procurement processes, systems, policies as well as external market data and insights. The AMP team forms a core part of category management within ESS/Lowe's ensuring value is brought in across projects through valuable insights.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to identify and drive execution of key projects in the AMP team in Enterprise Strategic Sourcing (ESS) across analytics and market intel and provide thought leadership across the verticals. The individual is expected be a process excellence expert and is required to work in conjunction with ESS category leaders & teams, business teams, suppliers, legal and finance in identifying opportunities. This position is required to add value to ESS by enabling them to optimize their day-to-day processes, provide quality data and actionable insights from both internal and external sources and support their business goals and objectives. The individual is responsible for overseeing end to end project execution covering all market intel (MI) requirements and key analytics initiatives. The individual is also responsible for continual improvement to ensure sustenance of internal and external data and support overall ESS process and system improvements. The individual will also be leading a team of market intel experts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead overall process improvement workstreams across data, market intel and sourcing
  • Analytics
  • Provide thought leadership for data quality, maintenance and migration
  • Supervise generation of insights from spend analysis reports and external research and facilitate opportunity identification/ risk reduction in coordination with ESS leaders and buyers
  • Lead project workstream execution as part of transformation within ESS
  • Combine market intel and internal analytics data to build meaningful insights
  • Build supplier scorecards
  • Support and oversee data migration / integration workstreams
  • Strive for accurate and integrated Procurement Master data across existing Lowe's ERP and other Digital platforms
  • Implement operational governance processes for effective master data management maintenance

Market Intel

  • Ownership of external research and industry knowledge that is required to support sourcing strategy
  • Own stakeholder management, pipeline management, KPI management within this vertical
  • Lead a team responsible for working on both proactive and reactive market intel reports across categories within ESS
  • Market intel includes but not limited
  • supplier intel, category intel, price forecast, key indicators in market
  • risk assessment, market conditions for entry
  • benchmarking
  • competitive assessment
  • cost breakdown analysis (TCO)
  • oversee output of team
  • Build / own visualizations, reports as needed
  • Build supplier risk portfolio
  • Identify supplier risk assessment avenues using external and internal data
  • Execute risk analysis for all key supplier across sourcing
  • Collaborate with Analytics team on projects as required
  • Act as key global point of contact for the Sourcing Group across US and India for all market intel needs

Years of Experience:

  • Min 10 years of business experience

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in any stream
  • MBA preferred

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Must have led a team of market intel experts or set up a market intel function
  • Must have exposure to North America market from a research perspective
  • Exposure to process transformation programs either as a lead or part of execution team
  • Exposure to indirect categories preferred (logistics, IT, MRO, supplies, services, facilities)
  • Strong data collection, collation and representation skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in either Procurement / supply chain processes (Sourcing, contract management, supplier management)
  • Exposure to PowerBI
  • Exposure to large data

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Sourcing experience
  • Understanding of vendor management and contracts
  • Exposure to spend data
  • Process mapping tools
