The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As Senior Data & AI Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in owning the end-to-end execution for our entire data & AI product portfolio. This extends beyond simple oversight; it involves actively working with people to build and lead a high-performing organization of engineers aligned to different capabilities. A key aspect of your role will be taking care of the process by fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and agile excellence. You will be responsible for creating playbooks and establishing a robust DevOps function to ensure our delivery mechanisms are efficient, consistent, and repeatable.
As a key member of the data leadership team, you will translate our corporate strategy into a tangible data product roadmap. This requires establishing a comprehensive governance model and partnering with architects to ensure the technology has the right architecture to support our goals. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of scalable, governed, and high-value data assets that not only drive critical business outcomes but also create a distinct competitive advantage.
Core Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities)
Portfolio Delivery & Agile
- Oversee the agile delivery process across all data and analytics squads, driving operational excellence, removing systemic impediments, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Establish and enforce best practices for agile methodologies, dependency management, and sprint reviews across the organization.
- Provide ultimate accountability for the delivery assurance of the entire data product portfolio, managing risks, and communicating status and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
- Drive the alignment and synchronization of multiple product roadmaps, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to data asset development.
Product & Value Realization
- Direct the holistic lifecycle management for all data products, from strategic inception and funding to retirement.
- Champion a metrics-driven culture, defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, adoption, and business value.
- Ensure the creation of a unified ecosystem of well-governed, reusable, and easily discoverable data assets that serve as the single source of truth.
- Act as the ultimate authority on product backlog prioritization, making strategic trade-off decisions to ensure focus on the highest value initiatives.
Technology & Architecture
- You will work closely with Information and Solution architects across a complex landscape including SAP (S/4HANA/ECC, Datasphere), Non-SAP systems (MS Dynamics, BPCS), Enterprise Applications (Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Oracle, JDE, MES, External data sources), and cloud platforms (Snowflake).
- Ensure the delivery of cohesive data analytics & AI solutions that directly support our overarching business strategy.
- You will champion and support the enterprise data architecture, partnering closely with the Information Architects and Solution Architects to ensure all data products adhere to the established vision for data design, modeling, and governance.
Your Skills And Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher AND ten (12+) years of data analytics experience in a public, private or military environment.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND sixteen (16+) years of data analytics experience in a public, private or military environment.
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in data analytics and AI, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role within product management, agile delivery, or data and analytics.
- Proven track record of building, leading, and mentoring high-performing teams of product owners, scrum masters, or delivery leads.
- Extensive experience managing a portfolio of complex data products or software applications in a large-scale, multi-squad agile environment.
- Demonstrated success in crafting and executing product strategy that has resulted in measurable and significant business impact.
- Experience managing budgets, developing business cases, and presenting to executive audiences.
