Role Summary
We are seeking a highly driven professional to independently manage the full lifecycle of stressed assets from deal sourcing and acquisition to resolution and recovery, while simultaneously driving business development and institutional relationships.
This is a high ownership role, requiring the individual to act as a single point of accountability for building pipeline, closing deals, and maximizing recoveries.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Deal Ownership (Acquisition + Resolution)
- Source stressed asset opportunities from banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions
- Independently evaluate opportunities, including: Financial viability, Collateral/security assessment, Legal enforceability
- Structure bids, determine pricing, and participate in deal negotiations
- Execute acquisition transactions in coordination with internal/external stakeholders
Resolution & Recovery Execution
- Drive resolution strategies across acquired assets: OTS / settlements, Restructuring, Legal routes (IBC, SARFAESI, DRT)
- Coordinate directly with: Borrowers, Legal advisors, Resolution professionals
- Monitor and actively drive recoveries and closures
- Ensure maximum value realization within defined timelines
Business Development & Relationship Building
- Build and manage strong relationships with: Banks (Stressed Asset / NPA teams), NBFCs and financial institutions, Intermediaries and advisors
- Generate consistent deal flow through: Networking, Market intelligence, Industry interactions
- Act as the face of the organization for deal origination and partnerships
Due Diligence, Compliance & Documentation
- Conduct end-to-end due diligence (financial + legal + operational)
- Work closely with legal teams for documentation and enforcement actions
- Ensure compliance with RBI, IBC, and regulatory frameworks
Reporting & Strategic Inputs
- Prepare investment notes, deal memos, and recovery updates
- Track portfolio performance and provide actionable insights
- Support management with market intelligence and strategic recommendations
Candidate Profile
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA preferred
- LLB (optional but advantageous)
- 7-12 years in ARC / NBFC / Bank
- Hands-on experience in: Stressed asset acquisition, Resolution & recovery, Direct lender interactions
