Dineout & Scenes are Swiggy's consumer-facing going-out businesses covering restaurant bookings, deals, payments, events, and experiences. These are fast-growing, margin-sensitive, and heavily product- and marketing-led businesses that require tight commercial and financial leadership.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Manager Business Finance to be the finance owner for Dineout & Scenes.

This is a front-line business finance role you will sit with business, product, marketing, and partnerships teams and shape strategy, pricing, investments, and growth decisions.

You will not just report numbers you will decide where Swiggy should invest, what to shut down, and how to scale profitably.

What you will own

1. Business Partnering & Strategy

  • Act as the finance partner to the Dineout & Scenes leadership teams
  • Evaluate growth bets, marketing spends, discounting, loyalty programs, partnerships, and new product launches
  • Build and own business cases, ROI frameworks, and unit economics
  • Drive quarterly and annual plans (AOP, OP1/OP2) with sharp target setting and clear trade-offs

2. Commercial & Revenue Ownership

  • Own and improve take-rates, discount structures, partner commissions, and promo ROI
  • Lead the commercial modeling and negotiation support for: Restaurant partnerships, POS / payment integrations, Events & experience partners
  • Track contribution margin, burn, and profitability at category, city, and cohort level

3. Performance Management

  • Build and run weekly/monthly business reviews with leadership
  • Identify growth gaps, cost leakages, and monetization opportunities
  • Convert data into clear narratives and actions for CXOs and business heads

4. Forecasting, MIS & Decision Support

  • Own forecasting, rolling outlooks, and scenario planning
  • Build self-serve dashboards and automated MIS
  • Provide deep dives on user cohorts, repeat behavior, pricing elasticity, and ROI

5. Operating & Hustle Mindset

  • Work like a startup CFO inside Swiggy
  • Get hands-on when needed messy data, unclear problems, fast turnarounds
  • Create structure, but move fast

Who we are looking for

This role is for someone who wants to be a future CFO / business leader, not a reporting analyst.

Experience

  • 3+ years of high-quality experience
  • Tier-1 MBA (Finance / Strategy) OR first-time CA
  • Experience in B2C / consumer tech startups preferred

Must-have skills

  • Analytical sharpness you can tear apart unit economics and find the real driver
  • Business acumen you understand how growth, pricing, product and marketing interact
  • Stakeholder management you can challenge business heads without creating friction
  • Ownership mindset you take responsibility for numbers, not just slides
  • Storytelling & articulation you can turn complexity into a crisp 3-slide narrative
  • Startup hustle comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and imperfect data

Nice to have

  • SQL / BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience in marketplace, SaaS, or consumer platforms
  • Exposure to pricing, loyalty, or growth analytics
