Senior Manager - Business/Corporate Strategy

About the Role

The role has two responsibilities

1) Lead M&CI: Lead a team of 2-3 analysts in M&CI (Market & Competitive Intelligence Team). The team is the custodian of monthly market share. They generate thought leadership on industry/market opportunities and market share movement with future projections. The role will also lead the AI transition of the team processes

1) Business partnering with 1 Business Unit to build annual strategy and generate PoVs requested by leadership

About the team

The Business Strategy team at Flipkart leads the development of long-term strategy for the various group-level business units. By leveraging fact-based analyses, consumer insights and market intelligence, the business strategy team identifies strategic focus areas and influences strategic and operational decisions for the company. The team works directly with senior business leadership and collaborates with leaders across functions to ensure seamless execution of recommended strategic initiatives.

You are Responsible to:

• Publish accurate market shares
• Enable monthly conversations with BU Heads to provide market share and industry insights
• For the BU you will partner with
• Partner with senior leaders to understand their strategic choices/ problem areas
• Outline strategic choices and develop fact-backed solution themes/ recommendations
• Convert strategies into action and drive the changes required
• Support the board meetings and investor meetings
• Partner with external consultants, sellers, brands for deeper grasp of market trends

To succeed in this role you should have the following

• MBA/PGDM degree from a leading college in India/ Abroad
• 3+ years experience in Consulting (Mandatory)
• Managed a team of 2+
• Superior analytical skills including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems
• Ability to connect with people across teams and levels
• Bias for action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
