Senior Manager - Business Controls Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead annual assurance planning, controls testing programs, and special review activities
• Perform independent testing to assess design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls
• Conduct detailed walkthroughs and ensure testing results are clearly documented with appropriate evidence
• Provide credible challenge on policies, procedures, processes, and controls while maintaining professional independence
• Guide and oversee risk managers in executing controls testing consistently year on year
• Define testing schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of testing activities
• Identify, document, and agree control gaps and remediation actions with business units
• Present testing objectives, scope, findings, and impacts to senior management and governance forums
• Deliver value-add reporting to regional committees, risk forums, and senior stakeholders
• Proactively challenge existing practices and recommend solutions focused on strong customer outcomes
• Support business areas in preparation for internal and external audits
• Conduct issue read-across to drive standardisation and consistency across the organisation
• Identify training needs and lead control education and risk awareness sessions
• Maintain strong knowledge of business areas, processes, and end-to-end customer journeys
• Lead and manage people effectively, including coaching, feedback, and performance development
• Foster a learning culture that encourages innovation, new ideas, and continuous improvement
