Role Overview
The Brand Strategy & Delivery Lead owns the creative, strategic, and delivery integrity of high-
engagement client projects — from early discovery and brand thinking through to copy execution,
project management, and handover. Our clients operate in complex B2B and technology markets,
and this role demands someone who understands that landscape as well as they understand their
craft.
Role Purpose
These projects represent some of Zensciences; most visible and complex client work. This role exists to ensure that these engagements are run with the strategic rigor, creative quality, and client
confidence they demand.
Success means clients who feel heard and well-led, projects that stay on track and deliver against
their brief, and creative output — from brand narratives to website copy — that is sharp, distinctive, and rooted in genuine strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Direction & Copy Leadership
- Own the copy output across solutions projects — brand stories, value propositions, taglines,
website copy, and narrative frameworks
- Maintain a high creative standard across all written deliverables, ensuring copy is
purposeful, precise, and on-brand
- Provide creative direction that aligns copy with visual and strategic intent
2. Project Management & Delivery Oversight
- Own project plans, timelines, and milestones — tracking progress, managing risks, and
keeping stakeholders aligned
- Manage handovers to delivery teams, ensuring briefs are clear and context is fully
transferred
- Maintain visibility post-handover and step in where needed to keep quality and timelines on
track
3. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary senior point of contact for clients on solutions engagements
- Lead client conversations with confidence — presenting work, managing expectations, and
building trust over the course of a project
- Navigate feedback and revisions with clarity and professionalism, keeping clients aligned and
engaged throughout
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work in close partnership with strategy, design, digital, and account teams across the agency
- Ensure that delivery teams have everything they need to execute well — clear briefs, aligned
stakeholders, and resolved ambiguities
- Act as a bridge between the Front Office and delivery, maintaining continuity of creative and
strategic intent
5. Strategic Consulting & Brand Thinking
- Collaborate with the research and strategy team on discovery, brand positioning, and
messaging frameworks — pressure-testing thinking and sharpening outputs
- Bring a strategic lens to brand value propositions and creative direction, ensuring the work is
grounded and distinctive
- Bridge strategy and creative, translating validated thinking into clear direction for execution
Desired Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in brand strategy, copy, or creative leadership — agency background
preferred
- Strong working knowledge of the B2B and/or technology industry — familiarity with how
enterprise and tech brands think, communicate, and go to market is essential
- Strong strategic consulting ability — able to synthesize data, research, and client input into
clear brand thinking
- Proven experience managing client relationships independently
- Comfortable owning project timelines and driving cross-functional teams toward outcomes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to lead a room with clarity and
confidence
- Experience working on website projects (copy and/or strategy) is essential
- Familiarity with brand audit methodologies is an advantage
- High ownership orientation — someone who takes responsibility for outcomes, not just
outputs
