The D. E. Shaw group seeks an experienced and motivated professional with an impressive combination of commercial intuition, operational experience, excellent critical and strategic thinking skills, and communication abilities to join its growing Middle Back Office Strategy and Support (MBOSS) team in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. The team is responsible for overseeing and implementing improvements to the firm's third-party financial operations service providers and reports to the CFO. This individual will contribute to the firm's operations strategy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
In this role, you will work on projects to improve the firm's controls and oversight of third-party service providers, technology, and financial operations support. You will manage firm's third-party service provider economics by overseeing pricing negotiations, linking costs to value through rigorous performance measurement, and ensuring an efficient, fitforpurpose operating model. You will lead and coordinate DESCO's partnership with third-party service providers, driving crossfunctional alignment, operational stability, and a culture of continuous improvement across business units. You will also enable scalable problemsolving by partnering with function heads to design datainformed solutions, guide execution, and measure sustainable business impact.

The ideal candidate should hold -
Basic qualifications:
- A postgraduate degree and 8 to 13 years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, or business transformation consulting.
- Hands-on experience with strategic technology and process re-design projects, including but not limited to process automation and systems implementation.
- Experience in shaping and executing initiatives, driving continuous improvement, managing through influence, and collaborating across teams.
- A proven track record of collaborating well with peers and other stakeholders is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with sound judgment, and a high level of discretion who can context shift easily and anticipate potential issues.
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or investment operations environments.
- Familiarity with fund administration/operations technology platforms.
