Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage and optimise pan-India transportation costs for agricultural products; identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across all routes and modes.
Design and execute national transportation strategies and plans to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality of farm-to-store and store-to-plant logistics.
Collaborate with regional agro teams, supply chain and plant teams to minimise supply-demand gaps and ensure timely delivery of produce.
Drive productivity initiatives in primary and secondary freight, focusing on route optimisation, load consolidation, and reduction of transit losses.
Lead the implementation of best practices in agro logistics, vehicle hygiene, and traceability.
Monitor and manage the age and quality of stocks in transit; proactively address issues to minimise damage, shortages, and write-offs.
Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and PepsiCo standards throughout the transportation process.
Develop and maintain differentiated logistics capabilities for various lane types and needs.
Lead productivity projects to improve utilisation of transportation assets and infrastructure.
Use data analytics to monitor performance, forecast demand, and drive continuous improvement in service levels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with transporters, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative problem-solving and execution.
Champion change management and lead pilot projects to roll out new transportation initiatives.
