Overview Of The Role

The Senior Manager Accounting & Reporting will lead the accounting operations and financial reporting processes for Flutter Entertainment India. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate books of accounts, strong financial controls, compliance with global accounting policies, and timely submission of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements. Further, experience in financial planning & analysis including budgets, forecast, variance analysis is required. Further, experience in local treasury, tax & compliance is preferred.

As a people manager, the individual will oversee a team of senior accountants, drive process improvements, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and support the Finance Site Lead in delivering high-quality financial governance for the India entity and global business units supported. The role will directly report to Finance Site Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Close

  • Fundamentally strong with hands on experience with end-to-end Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (Intercompany). General Ledger & reporting areas.
  • Overview of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (Intercompany), General Ledger areas ensuring timely & accurate deliverables with consistent reporting.
  • Overview of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. financial statements and internal reporting packs.

Treasury, Tax & Compliance

  • Management of local bank accounts ensuring adequate working capital, periodical settlement of intercompany receivables, optimization of interest income, better FX conversion for inward remittances etc.
  • Co-ordinating with tax & compliance team ensuring all applicable tax & regulatory filings are completed in a timely & accurate manner.

Financial Reporting & Governance

  • Oversee preparation of group reporting packs, statutory financials, and management information reports.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX/ICFR requirements, and risk management frameworks. Liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Overview of budgets/forecast/variance analysis in collaboration with Group FP&A team members for supporting local management.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, driving performance and capability building.
  • Allocate work, set priorities, and manage workload balancing within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-trust, and high-performance finance culture.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the Finance Site Lead and global finance teams across regions.
  • Partner with tax, treasury, FP&A, procurement, and other internal teams

Process Excellence & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls, and reporting quality.
  • Drive automation initiatives using tools such as ERP systems, RPA, or reporting platforms.

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

Essential

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, IFRS/Ind AS, and audit.
  • Proven experience in leading teams in a corporate finance or shared service setup.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Financials) and reporting tools (preferably Hyperion).

Preferred

  • Experience in shared services, GCCs, or multinational finance environments.
  • Exposure to SOX or internal control frameworks.
  • Exposure to automation or reporting tools (Power BI, AI Tools etc.).
