This is frontier work. The data you create trains LLMs to reason more reliably in real-world scenarios, influencing how millions of people interact with AI. If you're a senior-level ML practitioner who loves breaking down hard problems and documenting rigorous thought processes, this role was built for you.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule — 10 to 40 hours per week, on your terms.

What You'll Do
- Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that capture planning, tool use, and step-by-step decision-making for sophisticated ML tasks
- Design and document data strategies that help LLMs navigate intricate, real-world problem-solving scenarios
- Review and mentor structured traces to ensure optimal logical flow, clarity, and technical accuracy
- Apply senior-level architectural insights to validate and improve how AI models reason through multi-step challenges
- Work independently and asynchronously — entirely on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced machine learning practitioner with significant hands-on expertise in ML, deep learning, or related technical fields
- Skilled at decomposing complex, ambiguous problems into clear, logical, and well-documented steps
- Familiar with LLM evaluation, training methodologies, and how large models reason and fail
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication — you can explain sophisticated concepts precisely and clearly
- Self-directed and comfortable producing high-quality work independently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation systems
- Top-tier Kaggle competition results (Grandmaster or Master level) — demonstrating deep command of model performance and feature engineering
- Background in AI safety, RLHF, or reasoning-focused ML research
- Experience reviewing or producing technical documentation at a senior level
