About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Linux Engineer to support and scale secure, production-grade environments. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in Linux, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and modern deployment pipelines, with bonus exposure to Cloudflare and edge security.

You will play a critical role in maintaining reliability, security, and performance across on-prem and cloud-adjacent systems supporting compliance-driven workloads.

Core Responsibilities

Linux Administration (Expert Level)

Architect, deploy, and maintain Linux systems (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, or similar)

Perform system hardening, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Manage users, permissions, services, storage, and networking

Support compliance-oriented environments (audit logs, access controls, monitoring)

Elasticsearch Administration

Deploy, manage, and optimize Elasticsearch clusters

Handle index lifecycle management (ILM), snapshots, backups, and restores

Monitor performance, storage growth, shard allocation, and cluster health

Support log ingestion pipelines and security telemetry use cases

Kubernetes Administration

Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters

Maintain cluster security, RBAC, networking, and storage integrations

Support application deployments, scaling, and upgrades

Diagnose pod, node, and control-plane issues in production environments

Deployment & Platform Operations

Work with Dokploy (or similar deployment platforms) to manage application lifecycles

Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

Collaborate with developers to ensure stable and secure deployments

Bonus / Preferred Skills

Cloudflare administration (DNS, WAF, Zero Trust, Access, rate limiting)

Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, logging, alerting)

Familiarity with on-prem virtualization (VMware / ESXi)

Exposure to compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA)

Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)

Required Experience

5+ years Linux systems administration (senior / expert level)

Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch in production

Proven Kubernetes administration experience

Comfortable operating in high-availability, security-focused environments

Ability to work independently and own systems end-to-end
