Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Deployment
- Administer, deploy, and maintain server hardware, Linux/Unix Operating Systems, and RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP).
- Perform Tier 3 level support for enterprise technology solutions.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot core services such as DNS, SMTP, SSH, and related back-office services.
- Monitor system performance, implement updates/patches, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Harden Linux systems against security vulnerabilities and conduct regular audits.
Automation & Scripting
- Automate routine business tasks using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
- Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline operations.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bourne shell, sed, awk, Perl, or Python.
Virtualization & Containerization
- Work with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and RedHat OpenShift.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware ESX and HCI appliances (Nutanix, EMC VSPEX, HP Store Virtual, Hitachi UCP).
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create technical documentation for system configurations, processes, procedures, and knowledgebase articles.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Customer Service & Strategic Thinking
- Maintain strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
