We are seeking a Senior Manager Legal to lead and oversee all legal functions for LMS, safeguarding our interests while enabling seamless business execution across multiple geographies.

Role Overview-

The Senior Manager Legal will be responsible for managing the company's legal strategy, compliance framework, and contractual obligations. This includes drafting and negotiating interconnect agreements with global partners, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and regulations, handling any legal proceedings on behalf of the company, and staying ahead of emerging international legal requirements in the telecom and messaging domain.

This role demands good corporate law expertise, negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate cross-border legal landscapes with agility.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Negotiations

• Draft, review, and negotiate interconnect agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and other legal documentation with global partners.
• Ensure contractual terms are aligned with commercial objectives and compliant with applicable laws.

Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate law, regulatory matters, and international telecom/messaging laws.
• Identify, interpret, and implement relevant industry regulations, ensuring LMS's policies and practices remain compliant.
• Maintain and update the company's compliance framework to meet domestic and international requirements.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation

• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, or regulatory hearings.
• Manage external legal counsel relationships for specialist matters or litigation.
• Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks and resolve disputes efficiently.

International Legal Readiness

• Monitor and understand legal developments in key international markets where LMS operates or plans to expand.
• Quickly assess and integrate new legal requirements into operational and contractual practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 68 years of proven experience in corporate law, preferably within telecom, technology, or international business environments.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Solid understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and dispute resolution processes.
• Ability to work on multi-jurisdictional legal matters and adapt quickly to new legal environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent); additional certifications in corporate/commercial law will be an advantage.

• Reports to: Managing Director
• Works closely with: Business Development, Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams.
