The Focus: Pedagogic Leadership & Student Success
As a Senior Lecturer on the Teaching & Scholarship pathway, you will play a central role in leading pedagogic development and curriculum design. You will be a coach and role model for teaching excellence, ensuring our programmes create interest and enthusiasm among students.
- Lead: Drive the design, development, and delivery of an innovative range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including entirely new courses.
- Mentor: Act as a role model by mentoring less-experienced teachers and managing the performance and development of teaching teams.
- Innovate: Lead pedagogic innovation and take responsibility for the quality of existing courses, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Influence: Contribute to the development of teaching and learning policy at both a local and national level.

About You
You are an authoritative legal academic or professional with a passion for student-centred and inquiry-based pedagogies. You thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the leadership qualities necessary to manage resources, budgets, and departmental administrative responsibilities.
Key Requirements
- PhD in Law or status as a qualified legal professional (England and Wales) with extensive HE teaching experience.
- Advanced knowledge in one or more areas of law to lead teaching programmes.
- A proven track record of curriculum design and the ability to motivate and coordinate teaching teams.
- A collaborative ethos and a commitment to high-quality, inclusive practice.
