Description
We are looking for a Senior IT Monitoring Engineer to lead our enterprise monitoring operations. You will manage and enhance our monitoring infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, network, and application layers. The ideal candidate is an expert in tools like HP OpenView and Zabbix, has strong scripting skills, and is passionate about automation and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance enterprise monitoring platforms (HP OVO/OBM/NMMi, Zabbix).
- Configure monitoring for cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Oversee agent-based monitoring for Linux, Solaris, HPUX, and Windows systems.
- Manage SNMP monitoring for network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
- Monitor VMware environments, storage systems, and HP/Dell servers.
- Monitor databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL) and applications (WebLogic, RunMyJobs).
- Drive alert optimization, automation, and incident management improvements.
- Integrate monitoring with ITSM tools and ensure SLA compliance.
- Migrate Monitoring platform from HP OVO tools to Zabbix.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an enterprise monitoring role.
- Hands-on expertise with monitoring tools like HP OpenView and Zabbix.
- Strong knowledge of cloud monitoring (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience monitoring diverse infrastructure: servers, networks, databases, and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience
- 5 to 9 years in enterprise monitoring or infrastructure operations.
- ITIL knowledge is preferred.
