Kone Monitoring Operations Centre is continuously thriving to make high availability possible for Digital and IT functions in KONE. With this vision, we are expanding our team, and we are looking for a Senior Developer with 6+ years of experience as Developer.

Job Title - KMOC-Senior Developer

People with technical development focus use their deep technical expertise to configure, implement and continuously enhance IT products and IT platforms, applying good technical practices. This role is expected to contribute actively to developing KONE's capabilities in the selected technological areas.

Main responsibilities

Advanced Software Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems, especially Splunk and Datadog.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.
  • Lead by example in coding best practices and standards.
  • Continuously improve development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive innovation and encourage technical exploration within the team.

Code Review & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers through feedback and guidance.
  • Ensure robust testing (unit, integration, performance).
  • Set coding standards, enforce code quality, and perform code reviews.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide input on system architecture and technical direction.
  • Make decisions on frameworks, libraries, and tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in one or more technological domains.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers foster growth and skill development.

Agile Team Participation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA).
  • Participate in planning, estimation, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Help break down features into actionable development tasks.

Maintenance & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and issues.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Refactor legacy code as needed.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions or tech talks

    Education:

    Bachelor's or equivalent degree (B. Tech, BCA, B.Sc. computers) with over 10+ years of experience

    Requirement

    Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Splunk and Datadog
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Software architecture and design patterns
    • Backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Spring, Django)
    • Frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
    • APIs (REST, GraphQL)
    • Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with:
    • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
    • Security, performance, and scalability best practices
  • Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
  • Comfortable mentoring and supporting less experienced team members
