Position Overview
The IT Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations at Loch Corporate Services. This is a senior hands-on role requiring the ability to independently own the IT function, manage a small team, and maintain reliable, secure technology environments across the business.
Responsibilities and duties
Infrastructure and Network Management
- Own and maintain all network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, and access points.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent performance.
- Manage domain registrations, DNS records, SSL certificates, and domain-related configurations across all company domains.
- Maintain and administer on-premises and cloud-based server environments.
Systems and Platform Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments including user provisioning,
licence management, email routing, distribution lists, and security policies.
- Manage endpoint security, antivirus, and device management across all company devices.
- Oversee IT asset inventory, procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Administer and support internal platforms and tools used across the business (e.g. CRM, document management, automation tools).
Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain IT security policies, access controls, and data protection measures.
- Manage user access and permissions across all systems, ensuring appropriate role-based access controls are in place.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with applicable data protection standards.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, ensuring business continuity.
IT Operations Ownership
- Serve as the single point of accountability for all IT operations across the business.
- Maintain consistent IT standards, configurations, and policies across all business units and functions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Team Management and Support
- Manage, mentor, and supervise IT support staff, setting clear expectations and ensuring delivery standards are met.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved at first level.
- Establish and maintain IT support workflows, ticketing processes, and response time standards.
Documentation and Process Improvement
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, procedures,
and policies.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing IT processes and implement improvements.
- Develop onboarding and offboarding IT checklists and ensure consistent execution.
Compliance and confidentiality
- Handle all organisational and client information with the highest level of confidentiality and
discretion.
- Comply with all applicable internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure IT systems and practices align with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
- Operate in accordance with the firm's quality controls and reporting standards.

Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT administration or infrastructure management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, network security, and domain management (DNS, SSL, domain registrars).
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
- Solid understanding of endpoint security, backup and recovery, and IT compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise a small IT team, with a focus on accountability and delivery.
- Experience managing IT operations across multiple business functions or departments is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to coordinate with teams across time zones.
