About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Designer to lead design execution for our New Store Opening (NSO) program as we expand our interior design retail footprint. This person owns the design vision and rollout for each new location from concept through installation, ensuring every store reflects brand standards while adapting to local market and site conditions.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end design for new store openings, from space planning and layout to finishes, fixtures, and visual merchandising standards.
- Partner with real estate, construction, and store operations teams to align design intent with site constraints, budgets, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain brand design guidelines/prototypes, adapting them for varying store formats and square footage.
- Produce design packages (floor plans, elevations, specs, mood boards) and manage approvals with internal stakeholders.
- Source and specify furniture, fixtures, materials, and décor; manage vendor and contractor relationships for each build-out.
- Conduct site visits and walkthroughs pre- and post-launch to ensure design fidelity and troubleshoot on-site issues.
- Manage multiple NSO projects concurrently, keeping design deliverables on schedule for store opening dates.
- Support post-opening evaluations and feed learnings back into evolving store design standards.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience in interior design, retail design, or store design/rollout, ideally in residential or home-focused brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating space planning, materials/finishes selection, and brand-consistent design execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design software; Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
- Experience managing multi-site or multi-project timelines under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable traveling to store sites for walkthroughs, installs, and openings.
- Excellent collaboration skills across construction, merchandising, and operations teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
