We're looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our New Delhi studio and become part of our broader APAC interiors and design team. This is an opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer who enjoys thinking beyond individual spaces, someone interested in how interiors, architecture, materiality, movement and experience come together to create memorable places.

You'll work alongside architects, designers and specialists on major projects in New Delhi, across India and throughout the APAC region, helping take ideas from early concepts and storytelling through to documentation and delivery, leading Interior Design packages and projects.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Interior Designer at Populous, you'll contribute across different stages of the design process, bringing creativity, technical capability and a strong understanding of the user experience to our projects.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Develop and Lead interior design concepts working closely with the APAC Interior Design Lead, in collaboration with architects, designers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Interpret project briefs and translate ideas into thoughtful, engaging interior environments.
• Lead Interior Design teams and packages through conception to delivery.
• Explore materiality, finishes, furniture, lighting and spatial experiences as part of an integrated design response.
• Develop compelling presentations, narratives and visual material that communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
• Lead the production and coordination of interior design documentation using Revit, ensuring alignment with project standards, technical requirements, and delivery objectives, while providing guidance and oversight to project team members.
• Work closely with architectural teams to ensure interiors are integrated into the broader project vision.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to develop and deliver design outcomes.
• Bring an understanding of the Indian market, products, materials and suppliers to project teams.
• Contribute ideas, curiosity and a strong design perspective to our New Delhi studio and wider APAC interiors community.
  
  

What We're Looking For


We're interested in designers who are creative thinkers as well as capable project managers– people who can develop an idea, communicate it clearly and help turn it into reality.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 10-15 years experience in interior design, ideally within an architecture, interiors or multidisciplinary design practice.
• A bachelor's degree in interior design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications and relevant professional certifications/ accreditations would be advantageous.
• Strong design capability and an ability to develop concepts with a clear narrative and point of view.
• Experience leading teams and packages through delivery.
• Experience contributing to the design and delivery of complex interior projects. Experience across sports, entertainment, hospitality, aviation, cultural, commercial or other large-scale public environments would be highly regarded.
• Strong Revit capability and an understanding of design documentation and coordination.
• An eye for materials, finishes, furniture and emerging interior design trends.
• Extensive knowledge of the local market, including materials, products, brands, manufacturers, and vendor networks, with the ability to guide product selection, develop robust specifications, and ensure design solutions are aligned with project quality, budget, and delivery objectives.
• Strong visual communication, sketching and presentation skills.
• The ability to communicate design concepts and technical details clearly with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
• The ability to balance creativity with the technical and commercial realities of delivering major projects.
• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to contribute ideas.
