Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Interior Designer to lead our commercial projects team. This role will involve overseeing all aspects of design and project delivery, from initial concept to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong design acumen, extensive technical knowledge, and proven leadership skills to guide our team to success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and Project Leadership: Lead the architectural design process for corporate projects, from initial concept development through construction administration. Oversee design reviews, timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Ensure design solutions align with client objectives, budgetary constraints, and sustainability goals.
  • Collaboration and Client Management: Collaborate closely with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements. Manage client relationships and participate in meetings and presentations to articulate design concepts and project progress.
  • Technical and Documentation: Develop and present design proposals, including concept sketches, 3D models, and detailed drawings. Review and approve construction documents, specifications, and materials to ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and code analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Team Management and Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to junior architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in corporate architecture and interior design.
  • Project Files: Maintain organized project files and documentation.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in an architectural firm, preferably with exposure to commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a must, along with other design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex projects from concept through construction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of detail space planning.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Revit) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of BIM workflows.

QUALIFICATION:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field is a key requirement.
