Job Description

As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will lead the design and development of advanced and engaging online learning programs. You will be responsible for strategy formulation, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring the delivery of innovative, user-centric training solutions that meet both client and organizational goals. This role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts, clients, and internal teams to create and deliver high-impact learning experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and lead the creation of high-quality e-learning modules and learning paths.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content and ensure learning objectives are met.
  • Apply instructional strategies that cater to a variety of learning styles and audiences.
  • Lead and oversee course production, ensuring timelines, quality, and user engagement are maintained.
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and learning assets that integrate multimedia, assessments, and interactivity.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to junior instructional designers.
  • Conduct reviews and updates of existing learning content to enhance effectiveness and engagement.
  • Lead efforts to integrate instructional best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging trends in digital learning.

Skills and Expertise

  • Expertise in instructional design methodologies and learning theories.
  • In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting training needs analysis and designing outcome-driven learning solutions.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for content creation and client interaction.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities to drive and deliver multiple projects on time.
  • Experience in mentoring junior designers and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficiency in instructional design models like ADDIE, SAM, or Bloom's Taxonomy.
  • Advanced skills in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Expertise in scripting, storyboarding, and integrating multimedia elements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in LMS platforms and SCORM-compliant content development.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong visual design sensibility and attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience in designing for accessibility (WCAG guidelines) (preferred).
  • Knowledge of gamification, scenario-based learning, and microlearning strategies (preferred).
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro) and animation software (preferred).
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for content formatting and troubleshooting (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related specialization.
