Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist. In this role, you will be the backbone of our client's HR department, managing the day-to-day operations while championing company culture. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle-from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and compliance. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment by posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers to meet staffing needs
- Coordinate new hire orientations to ensure smooth onboarding experiences
- Conduct background checks and facilitate pre-employment testing to support hiring decisions
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop clear, effective job descriptions aligned with staffing requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and procedures to provide timely support
- Investigate and assist in resolving employee relations issues to maintain a positive work environment
- Support performance management by coordinating annual reviews and performance improvement plans
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and company events to enhance workplace culture
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and respond to related questions to ensure understanding
- Process payroll accurately and timely in coordination with payroll vendors
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws to mitigate legal risks
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to improve HR operations
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management to inform decision-making
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in HR Generalist or HRBP roles
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in HR contexts
- Strong problem-solving skills applied to HR challenges with attention to detail
