Description
The Senior HR Business Partner will lead the HR function for multiple leaders across the Devices and Services (D&S) organization in India, specifically supporting and partnering with in-region leaders in Device Software and Services and Tablets/Kids organizations.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. HRBP, you will provide strategic leadership and hands-on HR support in the areas of Organizational Design, Culture, and Talent Management. You will own and drive HR initiatives within your business to solve complex business problems, working closely with senior leaders, COE (centers of excellence) teams, and local/regional HR teams.
Strategic Partnership & Leadership Development
- Partner with senior leaders across multiple organizations to drive people strategies that enable business success
- Coach and develop leaders
- Provide guidance to site leads managing dual roles and complex organizational structures
- Manage stakeholder relationships between US and India leadership teams
Organizational Design & Effectiveness
- Support organizations across different life stages, product maturity, and team composition, requiring continuous context switching and tailored solutions
- Drive organizational design initiatives as resourcing demands change with changes to charters and goals
- Manage site strategies across multiple senior leaders
Talent Management
- Lead talent management rhythms including organizational health reviews, talent reviews, promotions, and succession planning
- Address talent and compensation nuances specific to local market conditions
Employee Experience & Culture
- Champion Amazon's culture and values, partnering with leaders to build customer-obsessed teams
- Represent Devices organization in India-level initiatives including branding, tech conferences, and demo crawls
The individual in this role must demonstrate business acumen, strong communication and writing skills, ability to influence, strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be data-driven, with critical thinking and metrics-driven success measures being crucial to success in this role.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or experience in a relevant field
- Experience coaching senior leaders and managers with strong talent assessment skills
- Experience producing executive-level written materials and presenting to executive audiences
- Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics and driving overall insights or analysis
- Experience in consumer electronics or technology sector
- Experience driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for global teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or MBA in HR
- Executive coaching certification
- Understanding of AI/ML implications for HR support
- Demonstrated success in managing HR through AI transformation
