About The Role
We are looking for a passionate Innovator to join our R&D team. As an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance hardware systems. You will bridge the gap between concept and reality, working in a high-energy B2B startup environment where curiosity is currency and boundaries are meant to be pushed.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Engineering
- End-to-End Design: Lead the design of electronic hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection, balancing cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Feasibility & Research: Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate new technologies and design approaches, ensuring continuous improvement of product functionality.
- Technical Execution: Troubleshoot complex hardware issues and ensure all designs meet rigorous performance and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Lifecycle Management
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate closely with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers to define hardware requirements and seamless integration.
- Vendor Management: Work with suppliers to source components, manage obsolescence strategies, and resolve technical issues during the production phase.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, schematics, layout guidelines, and test plans.
- Quality Assurance & Leadership
- Design Integrity: Lead and participate in design reviews to provide technical expertise, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear, transparent communication with clients regarding technical progress and specifications.
- Culture & Mentorship: Foster a collaborative work environment that values camaraderie and curiosity. (For more experienced candidates) Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, empowering them to excel.
Must-Have
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Core Design Skills: Proven experience in schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power management, and EMI/EMC design principles.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Altium Designer (or similar software).
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of standards such as FCC, CE, and RoHS.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA design.
- Previous experience in a B2B startup environment with project management exposure.
