1. Circuit Design & Development
● Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
● Create detailed schematics using tools like Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, etc.
● Select components based on performance, cost, reliability, and availability
● Design subsystems including MCU, power supply, sensor interfaces, and communication
modules
2. PCB Design
● Design multi-layer PCB layouts (2–6 layers or higher as required)
● Define PCB stack-up and routing strategies (high-speed, differential pairs, impedance
control)
● Ensure EMI/EMC-compliant layout practices and proper grounding techniques
3. Prototyping & Testing
● Build and validate hardware prototypes
● Perform board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting
● Use lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, and spectrum
analyzer

● Ensure seamless interaction between hardware and embedded firmware
5. Documentation
● Prepare design documents, schematics, BOM, test reports, and release notes
● Maintain proper version control and engineering change management (ECN/ECO)
6. Compliance & Reliability
● Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory standards (CE, FCC, UL,
RoHS)
● Perform reliability testing including thermal, environmental, and stress testing
● Hands-on experience in debugging field failures and improving product reliability
is highly preferred
7. Production Support
● Support manufacturing teams during prototype, pilot, and mass production
● Work on design improvements for cost optimization, yield improvement, and reliability
● Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for sourcing and alternate components
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills
● Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
