Job Description

Experience: 5-6 Years Minimum

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai (Work from Office)

Reports To: Creative Director or Group Account Director

Collaborates With: Copy Leads, Senior Copywriters, Motion & Video Teams, Strategy, UX, Production, Account Management

Role Purpose

The Sr Graphic Designer is a key visual leader responsible for shaping the aesthetics, design craft, and conceptual expression of brand campaigns across digital and integrated formats.

This role demands mastery in visual storytelling, design systems, and campaign development, along with leadership maturity to guide junior and mid-level designers.

He/she ensures that the agency's creative output is visually original, strategically aligned, modern, and consistently high-quality.

Key Responsibilities

Conceptual & Creative Leadership

Lead visual ideation for digital-first and integrated campaigns.

Interpret strategy and creative briefs into strong visual concepts, brand systems, and campaign worlds.

Build moodboards, design explorations, key frames, storyboards, and creative territories.

Ensure every concept is platform-native and performance-aware.

Art Direction Across Formats

Oversee the visual integrity of social content, brand films, digital ads, print layouts, landing pages, and integrated campaign design.

Direct the visual tone, style, and craft across multiple brand ecosystems.

Partner with Copy Leads & Creative Directors to shape cohesive creative ideas.

Design Execution & Craft Ownership

Deliver polished designs with exceptional attention to typography, layout, colour, and composition.

Review and refine AD/Jr. AD outputs to ensure consistency, brand alignment, and visual quality.

Lead adaptation of creative concepts across channels and asset formats.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Motion Designers, Video Editors, UI/UX, and Production teams to deliver integrated creative output.

Coordinate with Account Managers and Strategists to align creative decisions with objectives and timelines.

Participate actively in brainstorms, pitches, and creative discussions.

AI, Tools & New Creative Technologies

Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

Use GenAI tools (Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT) for visual exploration, mockups, and ideation.

Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and composition

Ensure ethical use of AI-generated assets and maintain originality standards.

Experience in both digital-first and print-ready design workflows

Brand Ecosystem Management

Develop and manage visual identity systems for brands across industries, like BFSI, IT/ITES, Real Estate, Lifestyle, FMCG, Healthcare, Hospitality, Automotive, etc.

Ensure adherence to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.

Required Skills & Expertise

Design Expertise

Exceptional understanding of design principles, typography, grid systems, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to guide overall look & feel of campaigns.

Strong attention to nuance, detail, and storytelling through visuals.

Technical Skills

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (expert level).

Figma, Canva, and design systems.

Working familiarity with After Effects or Premiere (preferred).

Comfort with AI design tools and creative tech stacks.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Calm under pressure; able to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong creative problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Working knowledge of UI/UX workflows.

Ability to participate in film shoots, direct visual tone on-set (optional).

Exposure to 3D design (Blender, C4D) a plus.

Prior experience presenting work to clients.

Education & Background

Bachelor's Degree in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or Applied Arts.

Minimum 5-6 years in digital, advertising, or integrated creative environments.

Portfolio must demonstrate strong conceptual and craft capabilities.
