Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Design
- Architect, implement, and manage highly available Google Cloud environments
- Design:
- VPC, Cloud DNS, VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud CDN
- IAM policies to enforce security best practices
- Implement robust security policies using:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- VPC Service Controls
- Cloud Security Command Center
- Architect solutions with cost optimization using:
- Google Cloud Billing
- Cloud Cost Management tools
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
- Deploy and maintain Infrastructure as Code using:
- Terraform
- Google Cloud Deployment Manager
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
- Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring with GCP-native tools & scripting
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
Cloud Security & Compliance
- Enforce best practices in:
- IAM
- Encryption
- Network security
- Ensure compliance with:
- SOC2
- ISO27001
- NIST standards
- Implement security solutions including:
- Google Cloud Security Command Center
- Cloud Armor
- Cloud IDS
Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Set up and manage:
- Google Cloud Monitoring
- Cloud Logging
- Cloud Trace
- Cloud Profiler
- Implement performance optimization strategies:
- Autoscaling
- Cloud Load Balancing
- Caching mechanisms
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
Collaboration & DevOps Practices
- Collaborate with software engineers, SREs, and DevOps teams for deployment support
- Maintain GitOps best practices for infrastructure versioning
- Support on-call rotation for high-priority cloud incidents
What We Expect of You
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, cloud networking, and security. The ideal candidate blends cloud engineering and operations expertise to maintain and support secure, high-performance Google Cloud environments.
Must-Have Skills
- Deep hands-on experience with GCP components including:
- IAM, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub
- BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Firestore
- Cloud Load Balancing, VPC, etc.
- Expertise in Terraform for GCP automation
- Strong knowledge of GCP networking:
- VPC, Cloud DNS, VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud CDN
- Proficient in:
- Linux administration
- Scripting (Python, Bash)
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab
- Strong troubleshooting in cloud networking, storage, and security
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with:
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Serverless architectures
- Cloud automation tools: CDK, Ansible, Packer
- Exposure to:
- Hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- HPC, DGX Cloud
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 6–8 years of hands-on cloud experience
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Google Cloud Certified Professional – Cloud Architect or Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Terraform Associate Certification
