As a Senior Furniture & Product Designer, you will be a key player in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production. Your responsibilities will include:
In-House Design & Development:
- Conceptualize and design new and innovative furniture pieces and collections that align with our brand's aesthetic and market trends.
- Develop detailed product specifications, including 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and material selections.
- Create and manage the development of prototypes, working hands-on to refine and perfect designs.
- Conduct market research and stay abreast of emerging trends, materials, and technologies in the furniture and product design industry.
- Present design concepts and detailed proposals to internal stakeholders for review and approval.
Manufacturers & Partners Management:
- Act as the primary design liaison with our domestic and international manufacturing partners.
- Clearly communicate design intent, technical specifications, and quality standards to ensure flawless execution.
- Review and approve factory drawings, samples, and pre-production models.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to troubleshoot design and production challenges, finding innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed to oversee production runs and ensure quality control.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our network of manufacturers and suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in furniture design and product development.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successfully launched furniture products.
- Proven experience working directly with manufacturers and a thorough understanding of various production techniques and materials (wood, metal, upholstery, etc.).
- A bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field is preferred.
