Position: Senior Functional Consultant

Location: Remote/India

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior SAP Business One Functional Consultant who can independently handle end-to-end implementations, post-go-live support, and central support operations, while also mentoring junior consultants.

This role requires a strong hands-on consultant who is comfortable working across implementation, AMS, reporting, and customer support, and can act as a trusted functional advisor to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1.SAP Business One Consulting & Implementation

  • Conduct business process workshops and requirement gathering sessions with clients
  • Prepare Business Blueprint documents, Fit-Gap analysis, and functional design documents
  • Configure SAP Business One (HANA / SQL) including:

oOrganization structure

oMasters

oCore functional modules

  • Lead or support end-to-end SAP B1 implementations including testing, UAT, go-live, and stabilization
  • Handle data migration from legacy systems using SAP B1 migration tools and templates
  • Deliver key-user and end-user training, system walkthroughs, and documentation

2.Central Support Desk & AMS Ownership

  • Manage and resolve L2/L3 support tickets within agreed SLAs and TATs
  • Act as an escalation point for complex functional and business process issues
  • Monitor ticket trends, recurring issues, and propose process or system improvements
  • Prepare support reports, dashboards, and MIS updates for management review
  • Create and maintain user manuals, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation

3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on SAP solutions and best practices.
  • Understand client business requirements and provide tailored SAP solutions to address their evolving needs.

4.Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and project team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members to enhance overall project performance and success.

5.Reporting, Queries & Custom Developments

Design and support:

oQuery Reports

oCrystal Reports

oFMS & Alerts

oApproval Procedures

oKPIs

Work closely with technical teams on:

oStored Procedures

oPost Transaction Notifications (PTN)

oCustom add-ons and third-party integrations

Review and validate functional specifications for custom developments

6.Modules & Functional Exposure

oPurchase

oSales

oInventory

oProduction

oFinance

oManufacturing / Trading / Retail process exposure

7.Project Leadership and Management

  • Lead and manage SAP implementation projects, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, driving successful project delivery.

8.SAP System Configuration and Customization

  • Oversee the configuration and customization of SAP systems to meet client business requirements and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and standards in system design and implementation.

9.Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement of SAP solutions to deliver greater value to clients.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of SAP Business One functional consulting experience
  • Minimum 78 SAP B1 implementations and solid AMS / post-go-live support exposure
  • Experience working directly with customers and business users
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Business or related field
  • SAP certifications are a plus but not mandatory
