Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can independently design, build, and deliver high-quality features across the stack. You will play a key role in shaping implementation decisions, improving engineering standards, and mentoring junior engineers.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning problems end-to-end and working closely with product, clinical, and engineering stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems
- Build scalable, maintainable frontend applications using React.js
- Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Node.js
- Own feature delivery from requirements clarification to production release
- Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code
- Review code from peers and raise the overall quality bar
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinicians to refine requirements
- Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and reliability best practices, especially for healthcare data
- Actively contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and standards
- Use modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity while maintaining high standards of code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
Required Skills & Experience
- 47 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript
- Solid experience with:
React.js and modern frontend patterns
Node.js and RESTful API design
- Experience working with databases:
SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)
Software design principles
Performance optimization
Error handling and observability
- Hands-on experience with:
Unit and integration testing
Git-based workflows and code reviews
CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to debug complex issues across the stack
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrates sound judgment in leveraging AI-assisted toolsknowing when to use them and when not to.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native systems
- Exposure to healthcare, medical devices, or regulated domains
- Experience designing APIs or systems consumed at scale
- Prior mentoring experience
