We're building a productivity platform for plantation agriculturestarting with the tea industry. Our software will bring together human-entered and IoT-derived data (e.g. weather, geofencing, pest detection, factory sensors), layered with global market intelligence and domain-specific research.

This is a rare opportunity to build a deeply impactful SaaS product in a legacy industry using modern technology. We're well-capitalized and backed by a legacy tea groupbut building this as an independent tech-first startup.

The Role

We are looking for a Founding Team Software Engineer to work directly with the founder (MBA Columbia, CS undergrad, ex-operator) and lead the development of our MVP. You'll help shape the product, choose the stack, write clean modular code, and iterate based on real user feedback from working plantations.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a product end-to-end, own architecture and quality, and grow into a tech leadership role.

What You Will Do

• Architect new modules and core backend services
• Refactor & stabilize existing codebase
• Set coding standards, file structure, naming conventions
• Design APIs, data models, and DB schema
• Build front-end dashboards & workflows
• Integrate mobile backend dashboard pipelines
• Work directly with founder to plan product roadmap
• Guide junior devs and conduct code reviews
• Build a scalable system that can serve 20+ estates over time

Tech Stack

You must be strong in:

• Node.js (Express or Nest)
• SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
• React / Next.js
• Clean architecture, OOP, MVC, modular design
• AWS basics (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Git, code reviews, PR discipline
