Technical Skills

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Understanding how web content is structured and behaves
• .ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications): Knowledge of ARIA roles, attributes, and best practices
• .Assistive Technologies: Familiarity with screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), magnifiers, speech recognition software, and keyboard navigation
• .Automated Testing Tools: Experience with any tools like Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Pa11y

Understanding Accessibility Standard

• sWCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines): Knowledge of WCAG 2.0, WCAG 2.1 (or WCAG 2.2) principles and success criteria
• .ADA, Section 508, EN 301 549: Awareness of global accessibility laws and regulations
• .Understanding of semantic HTML and how to create accessible user interfaces
