Role
The tasks associated with this role are specific to the engineering group and include, but are not limited to, the following:
Fleet Avionics Engineering – Bangalore Aircraft Information Security and Software Program (AISP)
- Provides aircraft engineering support to a variety of internal customers and outside suppliers to support daily operations and long-term reliability/cost effectiveness.
- Reviews, recommends, and implements manufacturer's service bulletins and other correspondence to affected fleets.
- Helps ensure compliance with all FAA, DOT, and Delta procedures with regard to the issuance of engineering documentation.
- Communicates project milestones and technical updates effectively to peers and local leadership to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Supports management of the Aircraft Information Security Program (D301), ensuring alignment with regulatory and manufacturer guidance.
- Supports updates for OEM Security Handbooks (Boeing, Airbus, and Airbus Canada), ARINC Specifications, RTCA Documents, and FAA regulations.
- Supports the Aircraft Security Log Management Program.
- Acts as a liaison for aircraft information security events and response.
- Participates in Aircraft Cybersecurity Fusion Center (ACFC) activities.
- Monitors connectivity for e-Enabled aircraft and systems.
- Supports programs related to Loadable Aircraft Software Parts (LSAP), ensuring secure and efficient software lifecycle management.
- Assists in developing and maintaining policies for secure end-to-end software solutions.
- Helps manage software distribution, storage, and repository management for LSAP.
- Supports secure software signing processes for the LSAP Digital Signing Program.
- Supports maintaining the configuration and installation of Avionics software and Onboard Loadable Software Control (OLSC) Program.
- Supports aeronautical database programs, including FMS, EGPWS, and ECL updates.
- Contributes to improvement efforts across all supporting programs to maintain strategic alignment with AISP compliance objectives.
- Follows established industry standards and RTCA guidelines (e.g., DO-326A, DO-355A, DO-356A), with a focus on airworthiness security.
- Leaves the office environment and goes to hangar, line, shop, planning and other support groups to gain details necessary to complete accurate project.
This position reports to the Fleet Engineering Manager within the Bangalore Office.
Role Summary
The successful candidate serves as Sr Fleet Engineer-Avionics (AISP) within the TechOps Engineering organization based out of DTH Bangalore.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Candidates for this position should have at minimum a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10+ yrs minimum relevant experience
- Previous airline, military, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft is strongly preferred. Familiarity with airline flight operations and support systems, FAR 121 dispatch regulations, computers and programming is desirable.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Familiarity with airline flight operations and support systems and FAR 121 regulations.
- Familiarity with D301 approval for aircraft.
- Understanding of aircraft systems, software, and networking.
- Working knowledge of AC 119-1, DO-355/ED-204, DO-356/ED-203A, DO-326/ED-202A, and all associated ARINC specifications, all associated ISO/IEC documents, and all manufacturer security requirements/recommendations.
- Computer programming or software development skills with Matlab, C++, Python are desirable.
