Job Title: Senior Manager Accounts, Finance & Compliance

Location: Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru

Experience: 1015 years (Real Estate preferred)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Accounts, Finance & Compliance who will act as the single point of accountability for all financial, statutory, and compliance matters of the organization.

This role is critical in protecting the promoter from financial, compliance, and cash flow surprises while ensuring disciplined financial management across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance (Final Authority)

  • End-to-end ownership of GST, TDS, Income Tax, RERA and other statutory compliances
  • Ensure 100% timely filings, payments, reconciliations, and assessments
  • Handle notices, assessments, audits, and departmental queries independently
  • Ensure project-level compliance under RERA norms, escrow accounts, and reporting
  • Proactively identify compliance risks and implement preventive controls

2. Books of Accounts & Audits

  • Overall responsibility for accurate books of accounts as per accounting standards
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closing without delays
  • Coordinate and close statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and RERA audits
  • Make sure all audits are completed smoothly without any issues or negative remarks
  • Maintain strong documentation and audit trails across projects

3. MIS, Reporting & Promoter Communication

  • Prepare and present weekly & monthly MIS to the promoter covering:
  • Cash flow position
  • Project-wise profitability
  • Receivables, payables & aging
  • Statutory dues & compliance status
  • Provide early warning signals on cost overruns, cash gaps, or compliance risks
  • Translate financial data into clear business insights for decision-making

4. Cash Flow Management & Fund Planning

  • End-to-end control over cash flow planning, monitoring, and optimization
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts (short-term & long-term)
  • Ensure availability of funds for construction, land payments, statutory dues, and debt servicing
  • Monitor customer collections, milestone billing, and receivable follow-ups
  • Ensure strict fund utilization discipline, especially for RERA-designated accounts

5. Banking, Funding & External Liaison

  • Primary liaison with:
  • Chartered Accountants
  • Statutory & internal auditors
  • Banks & financial institutions
  • Legal advisors & consultants
  • Manage bank relationships, loan documentation, compliance covenants, and renewals
  • Support promoter in fund raising, project finance, and working capital arrangements

6. Internal Controls, SOPs & Approvals

  • Design, implement, and enforce robust internal controls and SOPs
  • Establish approval matrices for:
  • Payments
  • Vendor contracts
  • Capex & opex
  • Prevent revenue leakages, unauthorized spends, and compliance gaps
  • Drive process discipline across accounts, site teams, and procurement

7. Project-wise Financial Discipline

  • Maintain project-level P&L, cost tracking, and budget control
  • Monitor construction cost vs budget and highlight deviations
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs, revenues, and common expenses
  • Support management in pricing, margin analysis, and feasibility reviews

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Real Estate accounting & compliances
  • In-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax & RERA
  • Excellent cash flow planning and MIS capabilities
  • Ability to independently handle authorities and auditors
  • High ownership mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to deal with promoter and senior stakeholders
  • Absolute integrity, confidentiality, and reliability

Qualification

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems
