Job Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, timely billing, effective cost control, and compliance with all accounting and tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of logistics and freight forwarding operations.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Primary:

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain and update books of accounts (AP, AR, GL, and Bank Reconciliation).
  • Ensure all supporting documents are attached in ERP.
  • Handle vendor and customer reconciliations regularly.
  • Monitor and control operational costs and overhead expenses.

Billing & Receivables Management

  • Prepare and verify invoices.
  • Coordinate with the operations and sales teams for accurate billing data.
  • Track accounts receivable, follow up for collections, and manage customer credit limits.
  • Maintain aging reports and assist in minimizing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

Payables & Cash Flow Management

  • Process vendor and supplier payments in accordance with company policy.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Support in preparing cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis.
  • Secondary:

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).
  • Liaise with auditors during statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Support in implementing internal financial controls and standard operating procedures.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare periodic MIS reports (profitability, revenue, cost, variance analysis).
  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with the operations, sales, and customer service teams for smooth financial processes.
  • Assist management in financial planning and risk assessment.
  • Support ERP/Accounting software implementation and process improvements.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. (MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred.)

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry.
