Job Description

Overview

The Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing deduction and invoice claims within SAP TPM, supporting promotional claim approvals, and ensuring strong financial controls across trade promotions. This role partners closely with Sales, Sales Finance, Trade Promotion Analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate claim processing, compliance with trade agreements, and timely resolution of exceptions. The position also plays a key role in improving efficiency through reporting automation and advanced analytics


Responsibilities

Claims Processing & Trade Support

  • Manage deduction and invoice claim processing end-to-end within SAP TPM
  • Assist with promotional event enrollments and claim approvals
  • Validate claims against approved trade agreements, promotional events, and pricing terms
  • Ensure customer contract legends are current and accurate to support Trade Promotion Analysts

Controls, Compliance & Exception Management

  • Maintain a strong control environment with accurate trade accruals, contract approvals, and verification processes
  • Manage claim exceptions through effective verbal and written communication with Sales and Sales Finance teams
  • Investigate claim discrepancies, identify root causes, and support timely resolution
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, trade policies, and audit requirements

Systems, Reporting & Automation

  • Maintain audit-ready claim documentation, trackers, and system records
  • Prepare claims analysis, aging reports, and exception dashboards
  • Drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of claims and trade analytics through automation solutions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between Trade Promotion Analysts, Sales, Finance, and Customer Teams
  • Support continuous alignment between promotional execution, pricing, and claims processing
  • Respond effectively to information requests and support business decision-making

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, M.Com, BBA, Master Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Additional certifications (Tally, CA-Inter, CFA Level 1, Excel certification)

Experience

  • 1-4 years of financial operations, claims, trade promotions, or accounting-related experience
  • Prior FMCG industry experience preferred

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions and improved processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced data handling capabilities
  • Ability to quickly learn SAP CRM/BW and TPM software applications
  • Good to Have technical proficiency in Python, Power BI, and UiPath, with hands-on experience in:
  • Automation and process optimization
  • Data analysis and dashboard development
  • Scripting and workflow design
