We are looking for a Senior Executive - Packaging Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement for Pharmaceuticals packaging materials. The role focuses on vendor development, cost optimization, and ensuring timely, high-quality, and sustainable packaging solutions that align with brand and product needs.
About the Role
The Senior Executive - Packaging Procurement will be responsible for managing the procurement process for packaging materials in the Pharmaceuticals sector.
Responsibilities
- Packaging Procurement: Manage sourcing and procurement of primary (bottles, jars, Laminates, Vials, Foils) and secondary (cartons, labels, sleeves) packaging materials.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop packaging suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Negotiation & Cost Control: Execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, lead time, and supplier performance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, and Quality teams to align packaging procurement with technical and design requirements.
- Process Management: Maintain procurement trackers, cost sheets, and supplier databases; ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key procurement KPIs such as cost variance, lead time, and vendor performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Packaging Technology, Supply Chain, or related field
- Candidates from IIP/SIES institute preferred
- Experience: 3-6 years of packaging procurement experience in any B2B industry, preferred experience in Pharmaceuticals
