Job Description

Role Overview : The Process Excellence Zonal Lead (B2B) will be responsible for driving supply chain design, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across the zone. The role focuses on optimizing utilization of resources (manpower, vehicles, infrastructure), improving cost

efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and building scalable, standardized systems to

support current and future business requirements. The role partners closely with Operations, Technology, Product, Analytics, and Business Finance teams to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, service quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Transformation

1. Conceptualize, design, and institutionalize new end-to-end process frameworks to

support evolving B2B business requirements.

2. Define and redesign operational processes across First Mile, Middle Mile, Mother

Hub, Last Mile, and RTO to improve throughput, yield, and reliability.

3. Develop and maintain standardized SOPs, process documents, and control

mechanisms across zones.

4. Benchmark processes with global best practices in logistics and transportation.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

5. Measure and monitor productivity at multiple levels (hub, lane, asset, manpower)

and drive productivity improvement initiatives.

6. Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify Value-Adding (VA) and Non-Value

Adding (NVA) activities and eliminate waste through process re-engineering and

layout optimization.

7. Design and drive zone-level continuous improvement programs to embed a culture

of Lean and operational excellence.

Cost Optimization & Network Planning

8. Evaluate utilization of manpower, fleet, and fixed assets; identify optimization

opportunities to reduce cost-to-serve.

9. Drive projects focused on cost reduction, route optimization, network design, and

capacity planning.

10. Evaluate and design regional facilities in alignment with First Mile, Mid Mile, and Last

Mile requirements.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

11. Partner with Operations, Business Finance, Tech, Product, and Analytics teams to

identify pain points and deploy scalable solutions.

12. De-bottleneck day-to-day operational issues by providing data-backed

recommendations and hands-on execution support.

13. Identify training needs for operations teams and facilitate skill-gap closure aligned

with business priorities.

Key Skills & Expertise

Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement

Six Sigma / Structured Problem Solving

Process Re-engineering and Industrial Engineering concepts

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making ability

Knowledge of QC tools: 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Kanban

Route optimization, network design, and capacity planning

Working knowledge of AutoCAD (facility/layout design)

Technical & Analytical Skills

Advanced Excel (mandatory)

Data analytics proficiency (Python / R- Good to have)

Ability to translate data insights into executable operational improvements

Educational Qualifications

Mandatory:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

Preferred:

MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management from Tier-1 institutes

Experience Requirements

25 years of experience in Process Excellence, Operations, or Continuous

Improvement roles

Exposure to First Mile / Last Mile / Mother Hub operations in Logistics,

Transportation, or related industries

Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, transportation, or automobile sectors

preferred
