Job Description

  • Management of Loss Ratio of EW Book
  • Prepare the Loss Ratio and related analytics of EW Book
  • Understand the P&L and come with ideas for profitability
  • Undertake Reviews with Channels/IMD's/OEM's on Account Management
  • Product Management
  • Constantly analyze the market scenario's and come up with new age products as per the market demand
  • Benchmark internal U/W processes & ensure the industry best practices are adopted
  • Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge
  • Underwriting Analytics
  • Ensure analytics using SQL, SAS, R or Advanced Excel and get the insights on product behavior
  • Make the use of Predictive Modelling or Catastrophe Modelling using data techniques
  • Design useful MIS reports for the management and circulate it as per the agreed frequency
  • Compliance & Risk Mapping
  • Ensure all IRDAI and Internal Compliances are met, raise a flag once the irregularity is observed
  • Constantly Monitor and Audit IT Systems, Processes for risks and bring the NC's to the managements notice
  • Liaison with Actuary, Product and Company Secretary for all regulation affairs on regular basis
  • Cost Optimization & Cross Functional Projects
  • Analyze the claims pattern & behavior and propose the ideas for cost optimizations to the management
  • Constantly review the internal process and propose automations as and when required
