Senior Executive, International Business Development (Sales)
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai (near Western Express Highway Metro Station)

Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage end-to-end international business development with a focus on emerging markets (SEA, Africa, LATAM).
- Prospect, identify, and qualify new business opportunities in assigned geographies.
- Manage existing distributors/partners locally while continuously expanding the customer base.
- Conduct client outreach through LinkedIn, email, and other channels; arrange meetings, deliver corporate and product presentations, and build client confidence.
- Understand respective legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements for exports, sales, and business development in international markets.
- Design and execute country-specific business strategies and channel partner models.
- Identify and onboard the right business partners globally for relevant products, including handling registration processes.
- Negotiate and execute commercial agreements, contracts, and NDAs with distributors/suppliers.
- Manage client interactions from inquiry to deal closure, ensuring smooth handover to operations/regulatory teams.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and QA teams to ensure compliance with country-specific requirements.
- Contribute to sales budgeting and country-wise forecasting post-order closures.
- Build long-term B2B partnerships to ensure sustained growth and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate sales records, agreements, and pipeline updates for reporting to management.
Requirements
Education
- B. Pharm (mandatory).
- M. Pharm or MBA (Marketing / International Business) desirable.
Experience
- 25 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical business development (Finished Dosage Formulations only).
- Proven experience in concept selling / innovative products and new market development.
- Hands-on exposure to international markets (SEA, Africa, LATAM strongly preferred).
- Experience preparing and presenting sales forecasts, budgets, and country-wise projections.
- Practical experience in negotiating and finalizing commercial agreements, contracts, and NDAs in emerging markets.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of pharma products, formulations, and business processes.
- Excellent English communication verbal & written (mandatory).
- High confidence in presenting to global clients across multiple geographies.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work as both a hunter (new client acquisition) and farmer (account management).
- Energetic, self-starter with proven ability to independently generate business.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and international stakeholders.
